Transit

Bridging two continents five trains and one very long flight I find myself in London. I want to recount the journey here but it would be exhausting, suffice to say I’ve learned how to buy train tickets in a variety of ways.

Jacks (the black banner) was a life saver after my phone wouldn’t connect since I had arrived in London/Gatwick. Consequently they have really good coffee and gelato.

In the here and now I found my new home in London to be adjacent to several Portuguese restaurants and following the trend I went to Grelha D’Ouro and enjoyed the special of the day, a Chorizo beef stew with beans, carrots, cabbage, and fat back, all swallowed down with two pints of a Portuguese beer I’ve never had. It was really good and in huge portions which was great as I had not eaten since four the previous day and it was now about 5:30 in the afternoon London time.

The blue shop is the restaurant I visited, right around the block from my stay.

Check out some of my pictures. (there is a scant selection, to be honest I was so incredibly worn out from nearly 24 hours of travel that I couldn’t focus.)
